The Three Wise Men and Jesus

2:9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. 
Mat 2:10  When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. 
Mat 2:11  And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. 
Mat 2:12  And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. 
Matthew 2:9 - 2:12

I love this story.  Their faith is so beautiful.  It inspires me.  I can only pray that my faith in the Lord is as strong as theirs.

We are celebrating the birth of our savior.  The Wise men brought gifts to that baby, but the greatest gift for us was his birth, his life, and his death.  Through Jesus we have eternal life.

    Jesus is amazing and worth more than we could ever give Him. May we be in awe of Him and follow His examples of love and grace. May our hearts never stop pounding for Him.
