Cherry Creek Farmers Market Photo Series 4
I really enjoy taking pictures at farmers markets. I love everything about them; the colors, textures, the variety of foods, and even the signs with the names of the businesses.
The colors are so vibrant and beautiful. The textures are amazing, whether its a shiny tomato, a rough potato. There are soft textures of fabric or the hard outside of pottery. It all gives me a sense of excitement, because it excites all of my senses.
It is not just the food and the clothing and the pottery and the baskets, it is also the colors of the signs and the fonts on them.
I love the creativity of these people. I adore looking at the food that the food trucks prepare. They sell everything for a wonderful meal at the farmers market. They have lemonade, sandwiches, soup, coffee, bread, gyros, and even jambalaya. It is an amazing smorgasbord of delectable treats.
I hope that you have enjoyed this photo series. Tell me about your local farmers markets. I love hearing from you, and what you have to say.
Enjoy!!!

I enjoy the laid back atmosphere of the events and the people who attend. We were involved in one of these markets a year or so ago selling vintage items, and I was amazed (being the hyper/driven type that I am) that people were strolling along and sitting or dancing around while enjoying the music as if they didn't have a thing in the world to do but relax and enjoy the people, the food, the breeze and sights and sounds. It really made me rethink my non-stop, go, go, go attitude. It's okay to stop and smell the roses, eat the bbq and listen to the band. Since then I have done a bit more of that. My time at that booth sort of retrained me. Thanks for sharing this. It has been an added reminder that there is much to delight in at such events.

Hi Liz,
DeleteI'm so happy that you shared that. It is hard to slow down sometimes, but it is in the little things, that you sometimes find the most enjoyment in life. The lick of an ice cream cone, the feel of fabric, the color of flowers, and the smell of fruit. Life can be great when we slow down enough to notice it.
Enjoy your life.

We are lucky to have a small but vibrant Farmer's Market. It is filled with home-grown and home-made goodies. I love to get up early on Saturday mornings to walk and visit. Came over from Twigg's.

We don't have a beautiful farmers market like that. Thanks for linking up at Mom's Library!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry. We have them all over town in Denver. Some are prettier then others, and Cherry Creek is a pretty one. Thanks for hosting and visiting.
