Fresh Whipped Cream
Ingredients:
1 pt. whipping cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar (confectioners) or Splenda or Stevia in the Raw
1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Pour whipping cream into a medium to large sized bowl.
Beat the cream with an electric mixer, about 3 to 4 minutes, until it starts to become firm.
Then add the powdered sugar and continue beating.
Once the powdered sugar is mixed in add the vanilla.
Continue beating with electric mixer until your whipped cream is firm, but smooth. About another minute or two.
You don't want to over beat it because it will turn to butter.
Let me know what you think of making your own Fresh Whipping Cream. It is so good, I love it. I always love hearing from you.
Enjoy!!!

That's actually the only way I make whipped cream .. lol - unless I make Irish Coffees, then I use the whipped cream in a can, which you "spray" on top in a nice pattern. Have a great weekend, Debi!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
DeleteI have friends who have never made whipped creams. They only buy the can or Cool whip. You are a fantastic cook, I would expect nothing less. I love reading your recipes. They are better then reading any magazine. Have a great weekend.

Have you ever tried those can thingys that make it with a cartridge? It keeps for quite a while in the refrig and it is so simple. But, thanks for the recipe and tips.
ReplyDeleteHey Helen,
DeleteI have tried them. I have one in fact. I do like it, but I still like making whipped cream the old fashioned way. It would probably make the pie look prettier, I hadn't thought about using it for a whole pie. Have a great week, and thanks for the reminder.
Debi

I never realized that there were people who didn't know how to make whipped cream! Until I moved to the US, it's the only kind of cream I'd ever heard of; it's one of the things I learned when I was in elementary school, and I'm not even a particularly good cook!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
DeleteI learned how to make it as a kid also. We have so much here that is convenience food, whipped cream is one of them. I think sometimes people think that it might be hard to make. I just wanted to do this post to take the mystery of whipping cream away. Thanks so much for visiting me.
